Here are the courses we offer:

1. Full Fitness Theory Course

This 30-hour course will prepare you to successfully pass the BCRPA on-line Fitness Theory exam. Topics include skeletal anatomy, joint movements, muscle actions, training principles, physiology, planning a workout, safety, and diet & exercise. This course is ideal for those without a science background, and who enjoy a slower paced classroom experience.

2. Fitness Theory Prep Course

Covering the same topics as the 30-hour course aboe, this course is a combination of tutorial and self-study, and is held at an accelerated pace. Tutorials include a one day weekend / one evening tutorial to keep you on track. Ideal for students with a science background or those with a tight time schedule. Get your BCRPA certification quickly.

3. Aquatic Fitness Course

This 16 hour aquafit module will prepare you to teach aquatic fitness classes at municipal pools, private pools, or resorts. You will learn how to teach warm-up, cardio, strength and flexibility in both shallow and deep water. The focus of this course is on acquiring skills today to prepare you to teach tomorrow.

4. Group Fitness Course

This 16 hour group fitness course will prepare you to teach a variety of group fitness classes, including bootcamp, aerobics, and stretch classes, across a variety of settings. You will learn how to teach a warm up, cardio, muscular strength, and flexibility in a group format.

5. Weight Training Course
This 20 hour weight training module is a starting point for designing one-on-one fitness programs. Course focus is on screening protocols, planning a workout session, and follow up consultations. Class time also focuses on exercise training principles, technique, sequencing, and progressions to help you properly put together a safe and effective resistance training program.

6. Personal Training Course

This 32 hour Personal Training course will prepare you to become a personal trainer. You will cover in-depth screening protocols, design workout plans, exercise progressions, and client follow up. Emphasis is also on startup business aspects to help you learn how to market yourself and attract clients.

7. Yoga Fitness Course

If you have been thinking about becoming a Yoga Fitness Instructor, and aren’t sure where to start, then this course is for you. In this 35-hour Yoga Fitness course we will focus on the physical aspects of a yoga practice. You will learn technique, alignment and how to teach a group Yoga Fitness class.

8. Aquafit Practicum Course

A full 10 hour aqua practicum will help you fulfill your 8 hours of practice teaching requirement and your aquatic fitness ICE (instructor Competency Evaluation). Your course workbook will help you prepare lesson plans for shallow and deep water aquafit. Video analysis is included with the course.

9. Group Fitness Practicum Course

A full 10 hour group practicum will help you fulfill your 8 hours of practice teaching requirement and your group fitness ICE (instructor Competency Evaluation). Your course workbook will help you prepare lesson plans for bootcamp, aerobic and other class types. Video analysis is included with the course.

10. Yoga Fitness Practicum Course

A full 10 hour group practicum will help you fulfill your 8 hours of practice teaching requirement and your Yoga fitness ICE (instructor Competency Evaluation). Your course workbook will help you prepare lesson plans for your yoga fitness classes. Video analysis is included with the course.
